Although I never could foresee that I wouldn’t be able to use my top rated N95 mask during a pandemic, in early March, I opted to make the classic fold-out mask for sale at our stores, because I liked the idea that it adjusts to a persons face - including the chin - and I liked the look better than the cups style masks popular amongst many today. I also added 3 layers, not necessarily because it would filter air better, but mainly to add a soft non-woven layer to limit any irritation of the skin.

Furthermore, I knew I wanted a bendable nose bridge for a seamless fit, because not only am I wearing glasses and need to eliminate creation of fog on them in order to see clearly, so I added a padded wire which I had to waterproof, because I also wanted the mask to be re-usable and washable.

I never even pointed out these features initially. Now that we all had a chance to try different masks and officials are testing the safety of mask available out there, they have pointed out that indeed the fold-out style with tight woven material in layers are giving the best possible protection to you and protects others from your virus droplets also. There you have it. Our masks are here to stay and make everyone safe.
