Mommy and Me before there was Mommy and Me.

One day in 1996, during New York Fashion Week, I decided to have a Mommy and Me fashion moment on the runway.

People certainly did not know anything about this way of dressing, which has now a hashtag on social media and is regularly celebrated by mommies and their children alike. Back in 1996, I was smitten by this lovely character Casper, the friendly ghost, and I collected anything I could find, including t-shirts and even a rubber Mask! It became the perfect combination for this - possibly the first Mommy and Me fashion moment - on a runway. I’m glad to have this photo from way back to remember this cute occasion.
